Evaluations • 1 hour
Evaluations are the foundation of effective, evidence-based treatment. They identify the specific areas where a child's communication skills aren't developing as expected, and the results are what guide every decision we make about treatment and goals moving forward.
You'll meet with me for a comprehensive speech and/or language evaluation, which includes standardized and/or informal assessments, observations, and direct interaction with your child. Once complete, you'll receive a full written report outlining assessment results, observations, and a recommended plan of care if treatment is needed.
Conducted by an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist
Includes both standardized and informal assessment methods, based on what best fits your child
Concludes with a comprehensive written report and treatment recommendations
Evaluations are valid for 6 months and must be completed before a treatment plan can begin.
Our Approach to Therapy
At Aura Speech, I bring eight years of hands-on experience across schools, homes, and clinics to help your child build the communication skills they need to thrive. Treatment sessions are offered in your home, at school (as applicable), or virtually, so strategies can be modeled during our time together and reinforced by caregivers throughout your child's daily routine.
Benefits of this approach include:
Opportunities to demonstrate strategies directly with caregivers
Collaboration on goals and techniques as your child progresses
Ongoing check-ins with adjustments made as needed
A connection to your family's everyday routines
Sessions combine evidence-based practice with engaging, age-appropriate activities designed to hold your child's attention and make progress feel natural. I collect data and closely monitor progress toward goals throughout treatment, and every three months, you'll receive a formal update on how your child is progressing and what's ahead.
